Audience Targeting

This post is important as it shows how I have considered my target audience for my media product.

Age:  18+

This is because my film trailer will contain aspects of horror with intent to scare the audience using ghosts, abuse and death.Also the language will be inappropriate for people who are under this age as there will be some use of swear words.

Gender: Males and Females

Stereotypically horror films are sometimes aimed at male audiences. This is because it is thought that men can handle horror better mentally then females. However I will be aiming my trailer at both gender's as both audiences like to watch films that scare them.

Interests of my audience:

My audience will most likely be into rock music and playing musical instruments. This is a stereotype. Some of them may have interest that involve reading and writing or perhaps doing hairdressing or make up. Still enjoying the horror film experience.

From this post I have learned that my target audience will be people over the age of 18 and so there is a lack of gender bias it will be aimed at both genres. I have also considered what background information some of my audience may have.
